Email Etiquette

This is one thing that everybody should know.

BCC for Privacy!

Correct Way to Send Out Group Emails

Quote from link above: “Simply put yourself in the To field and everyone else in the BCC field.  That way both “Reply” and “Reply All” will only come back to you and recipients can’t see each other’s email addresses.”

See nice screenshot there as well.

Email Etiquette (Netiquette)

From link above: Use the BCC field when sending bulk email. If you're sending email to a whole list of people, put their email addresses in the BCC field. That way, the privacy of the recipient is respected, and spammers cannot harvest the email addresses for their dastardly purposes. “

12 tips for better e-mail etiquette Use the blind copy and courtesy copy appropriately. Don't use BCC to keep others from seeing who you copied; it shows confidence when you directly CC anyone receiving a copy. Do use BCC, however, when sending to a large distribution list, so recipients won't have to see a huge list of names. Be cautious with your use of CC; overuse simply clutters inboxes. Copy only people who are directly involved.”

Remove All Email Addresses When You Forward a Message

Tony Robbins quotes

If there's no action, you haven't truly decided. ~ Tony Robbins

Most people aren't really happy, but they aren't unhappy enough to do any thing about it. That's a dangerous place to be.~ Tony Robbins

HAPPINESS AS A ROLE VS. TRUE HAPPINESS

Following is from the book of A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle.

HAPPINESS AS A ROLE VS. TRUE HAPPINESS

“How are you?” “Just great. Couldn’t be better.” True or false?

In many cases, happiness is a role people play, and behind the

smiling façade, there is a great deal of pain. Depression,

breakdowns, and overreactions are common when unhappiness is

covered up behind a smiling exterior and brilliant white teeth,

when there is denial, sometimes even to one’s self, that there is

much unhappiness.

“Just fine” is a role the ego plays more commonly in America

than in certain other countries where being and looking miserable

is almost the norm and therefore more socially acceptable. It is

probably an exaggeration, but I am told that in the capital of one

Nordic country you run the risk of being arrested for drunken

behavior if you smile at strangers in the street.

If there is unhappiness in you, first you need to acknowledge

that it is there. But don’t say, “I’m unhappy.” Unhappiness has

nothing to do with who you are. Say: “There is unhappiness in

me.” Then investigate it. A situation you find yourself in may have

something to do with it. Action may be required to change the

situation or remove yourself from it. If there is nothing you can do,

face what is and say, “Well, right now, this is how it is. I can either

accept it, or make myself miserable.” The primary cause of

unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it. Be

aware of the thoughts you are thinking. Separate them from the

situation, which is always neutral, which always is as it is. There is

the situation or the fact, and here are my thoughts about it. Instead

of making up stories, stay with the facts. For example, “I am

ruined” is a story. It limits you and prevents you from taking

effective action. “I have fifty cents left in my bank account” is a

fact, Facing facts is always empowering. Be aware that what you

think, to a large extent, creates the emotions that you feel. See the

link between your thinking and your emotions. Rather than being

your thoughts and emotions, be the awareness behind them.

Don’t seek happiness. If you seek it, you won’t find it, because

seeking is the antithesis of happiness. Happiness is ever elusive,

but freedom from unhappiness is attainable now, by facing what is

rather than making up stories about it. Unhappiness covers up your

natural state of well-being and inner peace, the source of true

happiness.

Kiss Anyone, Just Not the Gunner’s Daughter

“A kiss is just a pleasant reminder that two heads are better than one.” – Unknown

Kissing is a very ancient and widely spread means of greeting and showing affection. Kissing conjures up sweet images of romantic embraces or familial love.

One imagines kissing a loved one, a child, a family member. Yet apparently, according to these often forgotten, helpful phrases, kissing a book, some dust, or even the foot of a small woodland creature can have a much deeper meaning.

For example, a ‘kiss-behind-the-garden-gate’ is a country name for a pansy.

If you ‘kiss the place to make it well,’ you are referring to the old custom of sucking the poison out of a wound.

If you are ‘kissing the dust,’ you are completely overwhelmed or humiliated.

While ‘kissing hands’ seems fairly straight forward, it harkens back to the tradition of kissing the hand of a sovereign or a saint’s statue. If the statue was placed too high to kiss directly, people would kiss their own hands and wave it in towards the saint.

On a less romantic note, ‘kissing the gunner’s daughter’ meant being flogged aboard a ship. Soldiers who were to be flogged were tied to the cannon’s breech. While there is perhaps less flogging going on these days, the phrase can still refer to a stiff punishment.

And finally, if you ‘kiss a hare’s foot’ then you are late. You have missed your appointment and the hare hopped by, leaving its footprint for you to see.

While one should perhaps steer away from getting flogged, these other colloquialisms might just come in handy.

Alone Without You, by The Nightwatchman

Sick of the waiting and praying and hoping
Sick of the cold whispered dreams and not knowing
Sick of the strength that it takes to keep going
Sick as I'm losing this fight and it's showing
Aah aah unforgivable but true
Aah aah I'm alone without you
Sick of the fear and sick of the cold
Sick 'cause it's worse for the weak and the old
With two broken legs I'm climbing this hill
Sick of deciding who gets what in my will
Aah aah unforgivable but true
Aah aah I'm alone without you
Sick 'cause I'm stuck on the wrong side of town
And sick 'cause I'm pulling but still sinking down
And sick 'cause I can't turn this whole thing around
And sick 'cause I'm too weak to hunt somebody down
Sick 'cause this hammering litany of sins
Is banging and burning I can't stand the din
Sick 'cause the darkness keeps seeping on in
Sick to be leaving my family and friends
Aah aah unforgivable but true
Aah aah I'm alone without you
Aah aah I'm alone without you

Pain

On dealing with pain, I believe pain is a great teacher and motivator if we carefully examine and listen to it. We shouldn’t waste our pain.

Its for us to learn from it and to become more and whole again and even better.

It will turn out to our greatest happiness. Buddha says that “One way to understand the meaning of life is through pain.” I read it in a great book of Victor Frankle.

The article of Discover Diamonds in the Mud: Clarity, Creativity, or Genius  really writes perfectly that we shouldn’t escape. Any forms of addictions is for escape. Quote from that link: “The cost of escapism is no escape”

Clarity, Creativity, or Genius: Finding your Diamonds in the Mud

Copied from Discover Diamonds in the Mud: Clarity, Creativity, or Genius

Here's a little secret. You can't force clarity, creativity, or genius.
Yes, it's maddening when you don't know what you want--and no one else knows--because it's your life.
Years ago, I felt very confused about a relationship issue. I journaled about it, cried about it, meditated about it, and clamored for certainty. And all I ever got when I asked my inner guidance was "you'll know when you know." Now that's the kind of guidance that makes you want to shriek and join a cult or something where someone just tells you what beverage to drink, what thoughts to think, and what to wear, and things are nice and clear cut. But I already had a Jewish mother, so I resisted that urge. Instead, I hunkered down in the mud, cried, made myself comfortable, and mucked around until I claimed my diamonds.

Okay that's the short version. In truth, I resisted, complained, obsessed and eventually decided I was going to have to live with confusion. And of course, when I accepted confusion, it evaporated wisp by wisp. Self-love cleared the fog.
So I thought I might offer you some tips on how to invite clarity when you're feeling stuck and confused.
1. Definition without Experimentation is Limitation
Sometimes you want an answer so bad that you'll squeeze into an ill fitting box or label just to end the search. But of course that's not certainty, that's insanity, and just delays the pain. Dare to ask until you have a true answer. Experience will answer you if you give experience a chance. Become a researcher collecting data. Let go of your concepts of your self and become aware of this beautiful, new emerging identity. See what this self prefers.

I've worked with a good deal of writers who need to try on different styles before they commit to a direction. They often feel frustration because they want to get started. Experimentation is how you get started. We want to finish before we even know what we want to create.
2. Take Out the Garbage and the Garbage will Clear
Do the task at hand and the vistas will emerge. Nurture the seedling and the tree will grow. Sometimes the Universe has given you an answer. It's right in front of you. Work with the client you have. Clean out your garage and create that studio. Water the marigold seeds in the pot on the porch. Love the people who come through your front door. Take care of what's in your midst so that you're free to take the next step and move on. Don't wait for the next thing to come before you tend to the work that you've already been given.
3. Become Attentive, not Obsessive
I've never met anyone who finds an answer by staring at the question, intently having to know. Desperation clouds your investigation. Keep tickling yourself with questions, gradually unbridling the knots in your heart and mind. Learn about yourself with fascination. You don't need to become a stalker. Your truth knows how to speak to you. By all means, do focus on your situation. But don't make it the focus of your life. Stay conscious, not rigid. The more you relax, the more you connect to yourself and that's when the heavens shower us with diamonds.
4. Invite Every Answer to the Party
It's hard to let insights in, if we've dead bolted the doors. Sometimes we are begging for clarity, just as long as it's a nice, tidy, respectable answer and preferably one that doesn't really require us to change much at all.
Secretly, I'm looking for guidance that tells me that nothing has to change and I will get everything I want. I really don't want to hear anything else. I certainly don't want to hear how I might have to grow or do something different or open my mind to a new possibility. Really, I'm not looking for guidance. I'm looking to give guidance, as in give my script to the Universe. Meanwhile, my beloved Self is waiting for me to open my mind and heart so that it can flood me with kindness, direction, and magic beyond compare. It's a loving standoff.
In my book This Time I Dance! I said, "The heart speaks with closure to the open mind." When we're ready for any answer, we'll receive the one jewel we know is ours.
5. When Answers come Knocking at the Door, There has to be Someone Home
Sometimes I don't know an answer because I can't feel. I'm numb, tired, exhausted, whacked out, hyper, fearful and haven't exactly been in my body in at least a decade, or so it seems. In other words, nobody's home. If I'm not really there, then even if I'm surrounded by guidance, I won't know it.
Feel your feelings. Slow down, check in, cry, be uncomfortable, resist the temptation to avoid the hollowness. An opulence awaits you beneath the veil of hollowness. You are not empty. You may simply be tired and out of touch with your nerve endings. Slow down. Take a hot bath. Journal. Walk. Just be with your precious self--even in the heavy-hearted haze.
Sometimes truth hurts. If you're avoiding pain, then you're avoiding realization. The cost of escapism is no escape. Pretty Zen, huh?
****
I want you to know that you will know what is right for you. Be gentle. Stay conscious. You can't help but grow. Giving birth and healing is a subtle business. I'll leave you with my love and this thought from His Holiness the Dalai Lama. "Nothing can get done abruptly. The real changes are slow and invisible."

May This Encourage You, Always, Inspirational Words of Wisdom

Here is an inspirational story full of words of wisdom in the form of suggestions. I am sure you have heard some of this before, but it well worth rereading as it contains excellent thoughts. We hope you find it inspirational. If anyone is aware of who the author is please let us know so we can give proper credit.

Don't spend major time with minor people.
If there are people in your life who continually disappoint you, break promises, stomp on your dreams, are too judgmental, have different values and don't have your back during difficult times...that is not friendship.

To have a friend, be a friend.
Sometimes in life as you grow, your friends will either grow or go. Surround yourself with people who reflect values, goals interests and lifestyles.

When I think of any of my successes,
I am thankful to God from whom all blessings flow, and to my family and friends who enrich my life.

Over the years my phone book has changed because I changed, for the better.
At first, you think you're going to be alone, but after awhile, new people show up in your life that make it so much sweeter and easier to endure.

Remember what your elders used to say,

"Birds of a feather flock together.
If you're an eagle, don't hang around chickens:
Chickens can't fly!"

Do you know “How to” Meditate?

Meditation is one of the best ways to help you achieve mastering the universal laws of attraction so you bring more abundance into your life. However, sometimes it doesn’t always seem that simple. For example, asking someone, “how do you meditate?” is like asking someone “how do you get to Carnegie Hall?”

Faith

Quote from Prison Break (season 1)-Sleight of Hand Trivia

Every day, every day was a lost cause, but we kept fighting. I mean, what else you gonna do when you love somebody? You gonna let them go out like that? So you fight. You keep fighting. You never give up. We're gonna beat this thing, okay?”

As Nick Savrin tells above to LJ, I deeply cried with its music and tone of voice of Nick.

And remember that God’s delays are not God’s denials. God’s timing is perfect. Patience is what we need in prayer.

Eliminate Expectations

As I refereed in my blog post about it here is other nice quote from :

"People are people.Don’t act like they follow a certain algorithm. They will never do. People are doing strange things. They will surprise you, amaze you or disappoint you. Eliminate all expectations and just be happy because you share this moment, this place or this life. Life is not fair sometimes, that’s true. But it’s always beautiful."

Reader's question

I thought of posting here a reader's question:

Your note in comments of this post : http://bemyself2.blogspot.com/2010/09/expectations-is-it-human-weakness.html
about love is really deep and due to a profound look on love.
I think you have this such view in every part of your life.right?
As you are saying in your profile : " I Look on the Bright Side of Life."
If Am I right, please tell me how do you have this type of viewpoint?
Did you have any experience in this way?

A:
Great question. Thank you.
Yes, you are right about me, having the profound look in every aspect of my life and the humanity overall. I started looking at life more positively and happily when I was involved into the music since year 2001, and into the right music of course that uplifted my soul and spirit.Photography in the other hand, helped me a lot to grasp and maintain the positive outlook and focusing in on the bright side of life as much as possible in every situation and location. “Wherever you go there you are”

I hope my blog will be a small little source of inspiration and a moment of happiness for its readers.

Expectations: Is It A Human Weakness?

It blog post of this blog post reminded me of that.

"I'm so confuse, I so very badly want to take this relationship to a next level and what if she wants to be just friends? just friends is not enough for me anymore and yet I don't wanna loose it."

I suggest you show your eagerness, and be yourself, express yourself and let her know you really want to be more than close friends. You can ask her to know her ideas about your relationship.

Making the best of everything

If you don't have the best of everything, make the best of everything that you have. Overheard in a San Diego church

Question in my mind.

I was thinking what it would be if in the past, I was like this, and like that, done that or didn't say this or that... past is past, and all we have to do is to think about the now and its the now that makes you whole, contended and happy in the future.

You think of your past, that you wasted it, but it was lessons to learn and to forgive others, those you got upset with, and like that.

Everything happens for a reasons in life, and we always should analyze our direction, behavior and always try to be positive in life, forgive others, and ask for forgiveness.

Success Tip #16: Dance In The Rain

I got this in email:

Success Tip #16: Dance In The Rain

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass--it's about learning to dance in the rain." - Anonymous

There will always be storms! Your success will depend on your ability to make progress in the midst of storms. Your success will depend on your ability to stay focused while it's raining.

That's right and my friend tells me :

There will always be tragedy. If we have happiness, then we have a mixture of happiness and tragedy. But if we have no happiness, we then have only tragedy.

Paraphrased from the Alcoholics Anonymous.

40Salegi music

1.In the first part of the audio recorded from the movie, the main music begins in running time 2:58 and I love it! The start and the ending of the music is designed so clever and neat in the movie and I love it!

Before music, the conversations are also great: “You yourself only, can take the power to change your situation.”
Negar used to play musical instrument, and now she saws herself far away from it and is also sick of the routine in her life. And feels lack of courage to take responsibility to change it.

2. In the second part of the audio recorded from the movie, which the music and the conversations, moved me deeply into the tears. The delicate voice of Mohammad-Reza Foroutan and the firm advice of Ezzatolah Entezami, telling “You don’t have to know everything. If people knew about each other’s intentions and thoughts, they wouldn’t pass near each other and you yourself, if you know what happens in your body, and digestive system of your body, and then you are willing to be hungry and die. Would you want that happen?”

Anyway, the movie resonates with me so much and every time I cry. Its because since I too see myself far away from my musical instrument.
Another reason is that I have passion and desire to be actor too. To put all the past pain into something meaningful and useful for me and others.
I believe I can be a very good actor too.

Traveling quote

“Traveling through the world produces a marvelous clarity in the judgment of men. We are all of us confined and enclosed within ourselves, and see no farther than the end of our nose. This great world is a mirror where we must see ourselves in order to know ourselves. There are so many different tempers, so many different points of view, judgments, opinions, laws and customs to teach us to judge wisely on our own, and to teach our judgment to recognize its imperfection and natural weakness.”
